Delete your ThreadWare account

Last updated: 24 August 2026

This page explains how to delete your ThreadWare account and what happens to your data. It applies to every ThreadWare app — Android, iOS and the browser client — published by Lomapax (Pty) Ltd.

ThreadWare is installed separately for each company, so your account lives on your employer’s own ThreadWare server. Either route below reaches the right one.

1. Delete it in the app

This is the fastest route and needs no help from us.

If you can sign in

  1. Open the ThreadWare app and sign in.
  2. Tap your name in the top bar and choose My Account.
  3. Scroll to Delete account and confirm with your password.

If you cannot sign in

  1. Open the ThreadWare sign-in screen.
  2. Tap Delete my account, below Reset password.
  3. Enter the email address and password for the account and submit.

2. Ask us to delete it — no app needed

If you no longer have the app installed, or you cannot reach the sign-in screen at all, email us and we will action the deletion for you.

Email an account deletion request

If that button does not open your mail app, send a message yourself to admin@threadware.co.za with the subject Account deletion request, and include:

  • The email address the account uses.
  • Your company or site name, so we can find the right ThreadWare server.
  • Which app you used — Android, iOS or the browser client.

We acknowledge deletion requests within 2 business days and complete them within 30 days. We may email you once to confirm you own the address before we delete anything — that check stops someone else deleting your account.

3. What happens after you request deletion

  • From the Android or iOS app: deletion is scheduled and runs automatically after a 48-hour grace period. You can cancel it during that window simply by signing in again. We email you when the deletion completes.
  • From the browser client, or by email: the request is queued for an administrator at your company, who actions it. You are emailed when it is done.

Deletion is permanent. The account cannot be restored afterwards — a new one has to be created.

4. What is deleted

Your sign-in account Name, email address, password, roles and site permissions — removed entirely.
Sessions All active sessions and sign-in tokens, on every device.
Notifications Every notification addressed to you.
AI assistant feedback Ratings and comments you left on AI assistant answers.
Your name on records Ownership and viewer links on KPIs, incident reports, governance items, performance reviews and instrument tags are removed, so those records no longer point at you.

5. What is kept, and why

ThreadWare is a workplace system. Some records belong to your employer rather than to you, and some we are obliged to keep. These survive the deletion:

Audit trail Entries recording who did what and when — including the user ID and email address — are retained as company and legal record-keeping evidence. They are not used to contact you or to rebuild the account.
Deletion request record A single row noting the email address, name, platform and dates of the request, kept as proof that deletion was asked for and carried out.
Business data Production, sales, maintenance, KPI, risk and document records created during your work belong to the employer that operates the ThreadWare installation. They are retained, but no longer linked to your account.

These records are retained for as long as your employer’s record-keeping obligations and applicable law require, and are then disposed of. For anything held by your employer’s own installation, they are the responsible party — speak to them directly.
